Estonian Gynaecologists` Society (Eesti Naistearstide Selts or ENS) was founded on March 21st 1953, when the Society of Accoucheur-Gynaecologists of Tallinn was established. ENS is known by its present name since the beginning of the 1990's.
ENS is a voluntary national association that aims to: Protect the rights of its members. Enhance the speciality of gynaecology and obstetrics. Take part in projects to improve medical education. Arrange evaluation, in-service training and scientific work within the speciality. Represent Estonian gynaecologists and obstetricians in negotiations with different organizations and institutions.
ENS is a member of EBCOG and FIGO. As of 2023, there are 311 members in ENS, 10 of whom are honorary members.
