FIGO statement on protecting the health and rights of women, girls and newborns during conflict and crisis 

FIGO has released a statement calling for the continued protection of healthcare for women, girls and newborns in response to the situation in Gaza, Israel and surrounding region.  

This statement focuses on the impact of conflict, crises and violence on pregnant and recently delivered women. It also provides recommendations to protect healthcare workers health systems and civilians, access to reproductive care, prohibit sexual violence in conflict and ensure accountability for the delivery of humanitarian aid and of human rights violations.
